Swiss Life Asset Managers acquired a 47,000 m² brownfield site in the Allgäu region for the construction of a state-of-the-art logistics property. Möhrle Happ Luther advised Swiss Life Asset Managers on both legal and tax matters.

The seller is BB Real Estate from Wolfertschwenden. Swiss Life's plans envisage a logistics property on the site with a total rental area of 30,150 m², including around 1,000 m² of social and office space. Construction work on the "Swabia South 1" project is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2024 and be completed in the first quarter of 2025. To generate renewable energy, the investor-developer will install a photovoltaic system and heat pumps on the roof of the logistics property. Outside, e-charging stations for cars and bicycles and a green façade are planned, among other measures. Overall, the aim is to achieve BREEAM Very Good certification for the property.
