Crypto securities on the rise: Möhrle Happ Luther advises on complex 3-country issue of electronic bonds. After a series of trial issues, the issuance of crypto securities reached a new dimension on February 15, 2023. Two large issues with a total value of EUR 85 million were published. Möhrle Happ Luther provided comprehensive legal advice to GreenRock Energy Austria GmbH on its green bond issue of EUR 25 million.
The issue, which takes place on the Polygon Blockchain, will be registered with Tangany GmbH as registrar and publicly offered in Germany, Austria and Italy. The issue proceeds will be used for photovoltaic projects.
"The issue sets the course for the future of our company and the scaling of our business model. We also wanted to demonstrate our ability to innovate by opting for crypto securities," says Martin Kofler, Managing Director of GreenRock Energy Austria GmbH.
GreenRock Energy Austria GmbH is a project developer for rooftop photovoltaic systems based in Innsbruck. The proceeds from the issue of the EU Growth Prospectus will be used to develop new photovoltaic systems in Germany and other EU countries.
